I have read the above comments and am very interested in buying this particular book by Tracey Lord but I want to know if the crochet instructions are UK or US. Could you please let me know because if they are UK instructions I will definitely be buying it.

The lovely folks at Ivy Press kept me and my little team in tea and nice biscuits whilst we came up with a collection of 365 designs, some of which are old-time 'classics' and feature in books from the turn of the 20th century, and many of which are brand-new from our own little heads. I know the basics of granny squares but would love to have a book like this with more modern color combinations/patterns. Because we travel a lot granny squares are a perfect way to crochet on the road. No large Afghan to try to maneuver in the passenger seat.

What a fabulous book. My gorgeous grandmother taught me to crochet granny squares when I was about 12 years old. I only rediscovered the joy of them some months ago, at the age of 62. I have since made a bright and colourful hexagon bathmat, a large throw for the couch and am in the process of making a blanket for our campervan. Any free time that I can grab, I sit and crochet.
